Intumescent fire and smoke seals for fire door assemblies. An ASTRO intumescent graphite based fireseal contained within a PVC sleeve fitted into a rebate to either the leaves or the frame will in the event of a fire expand (intumesce) to many times its original volume and seal the gap around the door to provide a safe and effective barrier against the passage of fire, smoke and hot gases.nbsp;

A durable ventilation grille which is easily mounted in doors, ducts, floors amp; walls, and can provide in excess of 1/2 or 1 hour fire protection. Astroflame Fire Grille comprises of a moisture resistant intumescent core within a galvanized steel frame with vermin proof 6mm steel mesh fitted to both faces. The design allows a free area of 80% approximately. See our table below for guidance.

Intumescent Glazing Tape
A flexible self adhesive polymer based extruded intumescent material suitable for sealing wired or fire resistant glazing into wooden fire doors and fire resistant partitions.
On exposure to heat from a fire Astroflame Intumescent tape swells, thus prohibiting smoke and flame from passing through the aperture between wood and glass,providing resistance in excess of 1/2 hour.
Intumescent Glazing U-Channel
U Channel for 6mm glass. Cost effective, easily installed dry glazing gasket for use in fire doors using clear or wired glass. Elastic composition of the channel grips the glass.

Firestop Compound 20g
Our pipe collars are manufactured from a high performance material bonded to the inside of a steel sleeve, which on exposure to heat from a fire will rapidly expand inwards to squeeze the collapsing plastic pipe until the aperture is completely sealed.
Our pipe collars are light and compact, easy to install, maintenance free and find uses in multi- storey office buildings, flat level developments, hospitals and hotels, and anywhere plastic soil and waste pipes pass through fire compartment walls and floors.nbsp;
Mineral Fire Boards
Specifically designed for sealing around service penetrations in walls and floors, a single Astroflame board (60mm thick) can provide high levels of fire integrity and insulation offering up to 4 hours resistance in accordance with BS4746: Part 20: 1987.
Astroflame Boards consist of a mineral fibre core coated on both sides with Astroflame Mastic, which transforms into a hard ceramic during a fire to prevent the passage of fire and smoke and the transfer of heat.
Flexible strips of high performance intumescent material encapsulated in a polythene sleeve – designed for wrapping around plastic pipes that pass through masonry floors and walls. on exposure to fire the wrap expands rapidly inwards to squeeze the collapsing plastic pipe until the aperture is completely sealed.
Firestop Putty Bars
Nelson FSP™ requires no special skills or tools to install. To ensure adequate adhesion, all surfaces should be clean and free of dust, grease, oil, loose materials, rust or other substances. Apply the required depth of FSP™ over various backing materials as required. Ensure that the FSP™ makes complete contact with the inside surface of the opening and also the surface of each penetrating item. FSP™ is ideal for metallic and non-metallic pipes, insulated pipes, cables and ductwork in a variety of fire rated floor or wall constructions. It is especially applicable for applications where re-penetrating the opening is needed after initial installation. Actual installation may vary according to the type of firestop application.
Nelson Firestop Pillow (PLW™) is a compressible firestop device that is well suited for installations where frequent changes may be required. PLW™ consists of a mineral fiber treated with a highly intumescent material enclosed in a strong polyethylene bag. When exposed to fire, the pillows expand to lock the seal in place. Even though PLW™ is classified as a permanent firestop system for several applications including steel and aluminum cable trays, PLW™ also is an excellent temporary seal.nbsp;
Nelson Firestop Pillow (PLW™) is ideally suited for applications for cable tray penetrations or temporary closures requiring fire rating integrity. Install Nelson PLW™ into areas where the surfaces are clean and free of dust, grease, oil, loose materials, rust or other substances. Pillows may be coated with cable pulling lubricant for ease of installation. Tightly pack the pillows and insert lengthwise into openings. Actual installation should be in accordance with the appropriate Nelson application system drawing.
Firestop Cable Coatings
Nelson Firestop Fire Protective Cable Coating (FSC™) is water based, intumescent, fire protective coating designed to enhance the fire resistance of electrical power, communications and control cables. It is commonly applied to continuous cable runs to prevent the propagation of fire. It is designed for labor saving spray applications on cables.
FSC™ is spray or brush applied onto cables. Apply 1/8” wet thickness, which dries to 1/16” thick film. For optimal performance the surfaces should be clean and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, loose material, rust or other substances. FSC™ adheres well to all construction materials and cables allowing for vertical or overhead applications. When applying by a spray method, it is best applied using an airless spray unit with the following specifications:nbsp;
Firestop Joint Coatingsnbsp
Nelson Firestop Joint Coating (FSC3™) is a water based acrylic latex, elastomeric, fire protective coating for use on construction joints. It is designed for labor saving spray applications onto construction joints and perimeter joint systems (curtain wall assemblies).
FSC3™ coating is spray, brush or trowelled applied over a min. 4” depth of mineral wool insulation packed within the joint width. FSC3™ is specifically for applications in construction joints, wall to wall, floor to wall, floor to floor, head of wall and perimeter joint curtain wall applications where thermal expansion and contraction of joints may be encountered. Actual installation may vary according to the type of joint to be protected. Joint surfaces should be clean and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, loose material, rust or other substances. A 1/8” wet thickness is applied over the insulation and overlaps the joint surfaces by a minimum ½”. Product cures to a nominal 1/16″ dry thickness.nbsp;
Nelson Clk Sag amp;nbsp;Non Sagnbsp;amp; Self Levelling
Nelson Firestop Sealant (CLK™) is a family of one part silicone flexible sealants, used to protect from the spread of fire, smoke, gases and water. It is designed for applications of through stop penetrations and in construction joints. It is offered in two forms, a non-sag caulk which can be troweled and a self-leveling grade suited for floor applications.nbsp;
CLK™ sealant is ideal for simple penetrations such as around metallic pipes or conduits and for floor to wall, floor-to-floor and head of wall applications. Maintains the integrity of fire-rated construction. The sealant is flexible and designed for use in fire-rated control andsolation joints where joint expansion and contraction or vibration can occur.
Silirub B1 Fire Silicone
Silirub 501 B1 is a high quality, neutral, highly elastic, one-component sealant based on silicones which conforms to the DIN4102 B1 standard for fire retardancy and has a fire rating of up to 4 hours in certain joint configurations (tested to BS 476/20).

Fire Acrylic FR
Fire Acrylic FR is a halogen free, polymer emulsion based sealant that swells when subjected to temperatures in excess of 125oC and forms a char coat that restricts the passage of smoke and fire.

Soudafoam FR is a single-component, selfexpanding, ready to use polyurethane foam with propellants which are completely harmless to the ozone layer. It has a fire rating of up to 360 minutes in certain configurations.
